Goals...

Every human being has in born capabilities to become a great person. What does then stop from many and only a select few become great? Where does the answer lie? Do I become like most other people and blame the externalities for the cause? I too blame externalities quite a lot but use it only as a de stressing mechanism. I must warn myself from the fact that one can easily get lost in blaming externalities to even forget the truth. But coming back to the question what stops most of the people from becoming great. The answer which I can see is that a person himself becomes a hurdle to himself becoming great. Great people are the ones who always respect nature and keep in mind how nature works. They try to do the same kind of things. Success and fame starts coming to him. The ones who get dazzled by the limelight and start enjoying that lose their focus for a substantial amount of time. Those remaining humble and not getting into the seeming world of fame and boastfulness stay focused to reaching the goal of become great or achieving the objective they set forth for themselves. Greatness here is assumed as the achievement of a goal. There are thousands of addictions and distractions in the world and everyone is bound to fall into them. the question is whether one has the capabilities to judge the wrong addiction and get out of it with minimum wastage of time and energy. What is the best way to stop one from falling into addictions which distract the person from the main aim? Is it banning of all the addictions? Or is it training the individual to work towards his goal despite hundreds of addictions? It is for us to choose. I can speak safely that getting addicted to good things such as studying or staying a disciplined life not only leads to a fresher human mind (which is the machine to create wonders in the world) but also leads towards the goal by setting up a good system or a framework which takes care of itself and protects from accidental deviation from the path towards the goal. We are the creators of our own fates and also the destroyers. It all depends when our eyes open and when we start implementing all the good ideas coming to our minds.
